AJEEC

The Foundation provides core funding for the Arab-Jewish Centre for Equality, Empowerment and Cooperation.

AJEEC aims to foster cooperation between Arabs and Jews based on equality and empowerment of Israel's Arab citizens. The organisation focuses primarily on the needs and concerns of the 160,000-strong Negev Arab-Bedouin community, which constitutes the poorest sector of Israeli society. It operates a range of projects and programmes focusing on Jewish-Arab Partnerships, Economic Empowerment and Community Development and Empowerment, including running a volunteer centre and educational activity centres in unrecognised villages.

AJEEC was established by the Negev Institute for Strategies of Peace and Development, an independent organisation that seeks to promote peace and development through its focus on social change and civil society.
