JHub
In 2006 the Foundation conducted research into social action in the British Jewish community, which concluded that the sector was under-funded and under-resourced. We investigated ways to build capacity and our primary response was the development of JHub: The Jewish Social Action and Innovation Hub, which opened in 2008.
JHub is a centre of creativity, energy, learning and innovation, providing office space, meeting rooms and a support network for innovative UK-based Jewish individuals, projects and organisations who are working to contribute meaningfully, in a variety of ways, to the Jewish and wider world.
Its aims are:
To energise the British Jewish community by encouraging social action, innovation and social entrepreneurship.
To help innovative emerging and existing organisations and projects to grow and develop by strengthening and providing support to build their capacity.
To facilitate networking and collaboration amongst organisations through Jewish learning, professional development and social events.
JHub achieves its aims though the provision of residency and support to new and existing organisations; encouraging Jewish learning and professional development for its members; supporting innovative people, projects and organisations through an innovation fund and supporting the work of the Jewish Social Action Forum which works across the Jewish community.
