You may have seen the news piece in the Jewish Chronicle in May 2011 criticising Pears Foundation for giving financial support to an organisation called Forward Thinking.

The Jewish Chronicle has since published the following retraction and apology:

“The Pears Foundation and Forward Thinking

On May 13 2011 we published articles (including an article entitled “Pears funded charity which hosted jihadist”) which related to the Pears Foundation, a charity called Forward Thinking, and an individual called Tafazal Mohammed. We have since accepted that Mr Mohammed is not a jihadist and have apologised to him for this error. It follows that there was no basis for linking the Pears Foundation or Forward Thinking to any jihadist. We apologise to both the Pears Foundation and Forward Thinking for any distress caused.”
