13% increase in use of Food Banks this year, a report by Trussell Trust

Trussell Trust end of year stats highlight stark figures.

Stark figures on food bank use from the Trussell Trust released today show a 13% increase in demand this year compared to the previous year. The roll out of Universal Credit is playing a key part, in areas where this benefit has been introduced there was a 52% increase in demand in the twelve months after the full rollout date.
